MENTAL HEALTH AND SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS

From a general practice, adolescence is a time of physical and mental wellness vulnerabilities. With little support available, it can be an overwhelming time – bodily changes happen, risky practices can result in life-changing consequences, and negative peer pressure becomes difficult to navigate.  By providing support and safe spaces for adolescents and youth to focus on their wellbeing, we hope to set them up for healthy and opportunity-filled futures.

On SRHR, our focus is on three priority areas: Ending harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation and Child, Early and Forced Marriage, Menstrual Hygiene Management and Bodily Autonomy and Integrity work.

Riders for Change: Ending GBV Through Dialogue

This project engaged the leadership of local Boda Boda Groups in a discussion on the role of the Boda Boda sector in combating gender-based violence (GBV). The dialogues, centered on “Uniting to End Violence Against Women and Girls,” aimed to raise awareness and promote active involvement in addressing GBV. By harnessing the influence of Boda Boda riders, the project sought to foster community-wide action for a safer environment for women and girls.
