Fostering Collaboration Between Schools, Communities, And County Government to Enhance Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts Through the Effective Use of Weather Data.
Funded by Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, through the Climate Justice Impact Fund for Africa, we are facilitating community participation in data collection to track climate change by supporting four junior secondary schools to acquire and operate portable smart weather stations in four wards in Migori county. This stations will enable learners to access the weather data in the area, analyze the data and relate it with the actual weather conditions in the area which is necessary for planning of school calendar activities. Moreover, the stations will help in the day to day activities like prediction of the right season for farmers to grow particular crops depending on the trend of the different weather parameters.
